WHAT IT IS
Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
ACTS 2:38
WHAT HAPPENS
Three things, and that's it.
No long ceremony. No memorized lines. The most nerve-wracking part is the room cheering for you.
01
Arrive.
Come dressed to get wet. Shorts and a tee under your clothes work great. We provide the towels.
02
Share your story.
Before you go in, you'll share a sentence or two about what Jesus has done in your life. Off the cuff is fine.
03
Step in.
A pastor baptizes you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The room cheers. We always do.

QUESTIONS
Things we get asked.
Who can be baptized?
Anyone who has trusted Jesus as Savior. Doesn't matter your age, your background, or how long you've been at North Valley.
Do I have to be a member of NVC?
Nope. You just have to be a follower of Jesus.
What if I was baptized as a baby?
Many of us were. Believer baptism — by full immersion, after personal faith — is what scripture describes. We'd love to walk you through the distinction.
Can my kids be baptized?
Yes, if they've personally trusted Jesus and can articulate their faith in their own words. A pastor will sit down with you and your kid first.
What if I'm scared?
That's normal. Most people are. You're not alone — a pastor walks you through every step.
