Feel Like Your Kindness Is Taken Advantage Of?
If you are around North Valley Church long enough, you will hear something along these lines: “We do not do good works for our salvation, but we do good works from our salvation.” For those who are followers of Jesus, we have compassion on those in need because our hearts have been transformed by Jesus. When you serve others in need, you are caring for temporal needs and this also has eternal implications. In Matthew, Jesus links serving those in need to serving Him! Isn’t this amazing! Yet sometimes we wonder if our kindness and compassion are being taken advantage of, or if we are even doing any good at all. Be encouraged! Know that regardless, Jesus considers you to have served Him when you care for someone in need.
