Gardening for Jesus

As followers of Jesus Christ we have an awesome opportunity – to go out into the world and proclaim the good news about the Saviour (Matthew 28:16-20) and help people follow Jesus! Like gardening there are stages, depending on where we find people. Some need the gospel truth planted, as Paul did in this verse. Others need the gospel truth watered so it may be nourished and flourish. Are you ready to plant and water? These are the things we can do. Only God, however, can give growth. This is the part that only He can do. Just like in gardening, we cannot force a plant or tree to grow, so it is with the gospel in the lives of people. Who do you know that needs the gospel truth planted? Who needs some watering? Pray and ask God to direct you to people, that you might “garden for Jesus.”
