Vivian Is Living A New Life

IMG_7250Vivian Bush grew up in a Christian household but never fully understood her mom's Christian faith. At the age of 18, she lost her mother and her heart grew cold. As the years passed, she became a mother herself and started to think about the faith that her mother once shared with her as a child. She said in an interview…

 “When I had my first son, I felt like God was telling me that I had to go back to church!  If it were not for my boys, I am not sure I would be here. I knew I wanted to share this great love of Christ with my boys and my husband that my mama did with me.”

Vivian knew she needed a relationship with Christ and decided to try out a church when a friend had invited her to North Valley. Vivian has been part of North Valley for the last three years now. Like many others, she says that she loves the sense of community and belonging that she's found here.

At her Neighborhood Group, she's found encouragement from other godly couples that are more seasoned in their faith and have served as great examples for her marriage, family, and relationship with Jesus.

It seems that God often uses a combination of real-life relationships and truth to help people grow in their faith at North Valley. Here's what she said about the worship services and Sunday morning messages. She said…

“The teachings are making a real impact in my life. Pastor Ryan's messages show me how I can rely on a forgiving heavenly Father who will always guide me, teach me, and show me the way. This really helps me to incorporate God’s Word into my daily life.”

Not too long ago, baptism was heavy on her heart for over a year. She said… "I knew this was a long-awaited next step in my faith. Jesus was making an impact in my life by giving me a better understanding of His unconditional love."

So, with a heart full of love and excitement to share with others she was baptized, proclaiming the message that she’s been made new and has experienced God’s love in a whole new way!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away;

behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
