1. YOUR CONFIDENCE SHOULD NOT BE IN YOUR LOVE FOR GOD RATHER GOD’S LOVE FOR YOU. 
2. NO MATTER YOUR STORY IT’S FOR GOD’S GLORY. 
3. GOD’S DELAY IS NOT GOD’S DENIALS.

Ice Breaker: Share about one of your childhood best friends? What did you love about him or her?  

1. Take a minute to read through the passage? What stood out to you from the passage and why?  
2. Note what stands out about Jesus calling himself a friend of Lazarus?  
3. Why is it important to have friends?  
4. Do you see yourself as a friend to Jesus? Why or why not? Obviously he is LORD, he is King. Consider how he is also a friend. (Matthew 11:19 and Luke 7:34, John 15:4) 
5. What stood out about the message and why? 
6. Let’s look at each point made.  Which is most meaningful and why?
