The Apostle Paul’s Request of Titus
1. Get Healthy Leaders (vs. 5-9)
(1 Timothy 3:1-13, Acts 20:28, 1 Peter 5:1-4)
2. Confront the Unhealthy (vs.10-16)
(Matthew 23:13-15, Galatians 2:4-5, 2 Timothy 4:2-3)
3. Teach the Truth (2:1)
(2 Timothy 4:2, 1 Timothy 6:3-5, Ephesians 4:14-15)

1. Take a minute to review the sermon outline and read the passage. Titus 1.
2. Pastor Ryan’s preaching covered Titus 1:5-2:1. What stood out to you and why?
3. Healthy Leaders: Who are the key leaders in your life that help you stay spiritually healthy? How can you ensure that you are surrounding yourself with godly and wise counsel? (Titus 1:5-9, 1 Timothy 3:1-7)
4. Leadership Qualities: Which of the 15 qualifications for healthy leadership (Titus 1:6-9) do you find most challenging, and why? How can you grow in that area?
5. Personal Integrity: Reflecting on the idea of being “above reproach,” how can you strengthen your own reputation and avoid accusations that could harm your witness? (Titus 1:6-7, 1 Peter 5:3)
6. Confronting Unhealthy Behavior: How should we approach someone who professes to know God but denies Him by their works? How can we do this in a way that is both loving and restorative? (Titus 1:16)
7. Legalism and Grace: In what areas of your life do you struggle with legalism (focusing on rules over relationship)? How can you embrace grace more fully in your walk with Christ? (Titus 1:14-15)
8. Healthy Confrontation: Have you ever experienced a time when confrontation led to personal growth or restoration? What was the process, and what can you learn from it for your own life? (Titus 1:10-13, 1 Timothy 5:20)
9. The Importance of biblical truth: Why is it important to hold firmly to biblical truth in today’s culture? How can you apply this teaching to your daily life? (Titus 2:1, Ephesians 4:14-15)
10. Spiritual Health in the Church: How can you contribute to the health of your church by supporting healthy leaders and confronting unhealthy behaviors in love? (Titus 1:5-16)
11. Application of Scripture: How do you ensure that you are not just hearing the word, but applying it in your daily life? How can your actions reflect your beliefs? (James 1:22, Matthew 5:14)
12. Restoration and Humility: In what ways can you be part of a restoration process when someone is confronted about unhealthy behavior? How can humility play a role in this process? (Galatians 6:1, 1 Peter 5:5)
