Join us and let's be a light to our local community as we partner with the City of Peoria to help revitalize an old deteriorating home.

Neighborhood Pride is a revitalization program adopted by the Peoria City Council in June 1996. The purpose of the program is to provide a vehicle for Peoria’s long-established neighborhoods to reverse any beginning signs of deterioration commonly found in older areas of any city.

Such signs of deterioration are evidenced by peeling or flaking house paint, fencing in disrepair, landscaping problems, etc. Accompanying these signs of deterioration are increasing numbers of City Code violations established by the City of Peoria to help established neighborhoods maintain their appearance and value. The program is a cooperative work effort between the City and residents to eliminate City Code violations and to offer assistance to individual property owners for improvement of their homes by the award of materials and volunteer help. Typical improvements completed during the enhancement segment of the project include exterior house painting, fence/gate repair, removal of unwanted items, placing gravel, etc.
