Bible
We believe the Bible, made up of the 66 books of the Old and New Testament, is the divinely inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It reveals God's truth without error and was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to a literal, historical, contextual, and grammatical interpretation of Scripture while seeking to understand the authors’ original intent, only then are we able to apply it to our lives after careful study. (Nehemiah 8:8; James 1:22, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 17:17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
Trinity
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, equal in power and glory, yet distinct in role. All three are worthy of worship and obedience. (Mark 12:29; Revelation 4:11, Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully divine and fully human at the same time. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, was crucified for our sins, was buried, and rose again! Jesus reigns in heaven and will return to judge the living and the dead, establishing His eternal kingdom. (John 1:1, 14; Matthew 1:18-23; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 2:22-23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Matthew 28:18; Acts 10:42; Revelation 20:11-15)
Salvation
We believe all people are separated from God because of sin, and justly face eternal punishment (Romans 3:23; 6:23). We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus alone. His death satisfies God’s justice, dying in our place, and salvation is secured for all who believe. True faith produces a life of obedience. We reject universalism and affirm eternal life through Christ alone. (Hebrews 9:27, John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:24-26; John 10:28-29, James 2:14-26)
Humanity
We believe that humanity was created in God's image to glorify Him. However, through Adam’s sin, sin spread to all of humanity like a virus, resulting in spiritual death, separation from God, and leaving humanity completely unable to please God without His grace and the work of the Holy Spirit. Despite sin, all people retain dignity as God's image-bearers. Through faith in Christ alone, we can be redeemed and reconciled to God. Without God’s grace, humanity remains lost and unable to save itself (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6; Romans 5:17-19, Romans 3:10-12, Romans 5:12-14, Genesis 1:26-27, James 3:9).
Creation
We believe that God created the world and everything in it, including humanity. Out of nothing, He designed it with purpose and order, declaring it good. God’s creative work reveals His power, wisdom, and glory. (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26-27, Psalm 19:1, Isaiah 45:18, Colossians 1:16-17, Hebrews 11:3, Revelation 4:11, Psalm 104:24-25, Jeremiah 10:12, Ephesians 2:10)
Church
We believe that the true Church, composed of all believers regenerated by the Holy Spirit, began on the Day of Pentecost. Each local church gathers for worship, instruction, fellowship, service, and evangelism under the authority of Jesus Christ, with biblically qualified elders shepherding the congregation. The Church must carry the message of the Gospel into everyday life, be faithful to administer the sacred ordinances, and serve as a light to the world. Believers are expected to continually participate in a local church for fellowship and growth.
(Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 4:11-12, Hebrews 10:24-25, Matthew 28:19-20
1 Peter 5:1-3, Philippians 2:14-16, Matthew 5:14-16, Colossians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Hebrews 10:25)
Second Coming
We believe that Jesus Christ will physically return to Earth to establish His kingdom. We affirm that believers will be physically resurrected and enjoy eternity in Christ’s kingdom. This return will usher in a new heaven and a new earth, restoring creation and eliminating evil, sin, suffering, and death. At His coming, Jesus will judge the living and the dead, rewarding the righteous and condemning the wicked. His return is our hope, affirming God’s ultimate victory and the promise of eternal fellowship with Him for all believers. (Acts 1:11, Revelation 1:7, Matthew 6:10, Revelation 11:15, Revelation 21:1, Romans 8:21-22, 2 Timothy 4:1, Matthew 25:31-32, Revelation 22:12, Matthew 25:46, Titus 2:13, John 14:3)
