The Magic Formula for Resolving Marital Conflict
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32
Do you ever feel like you are constantly fighting with each other and struggling to get along? You need reconciliation! Reconciliation is the restoration of friendly relations. Married couples must resolve conflicts, or they will foster a dysfunctional marriage or worse it will often end in a divorce.
My wife Leslie and I have been married for nearly 20 years. We’ve learned that there is no biblical reconciliation without a few things. It’s like a magic formula. Repentance + forgiveness = reconciliation! Reconciled marriages are God’s plan for strong and healthy marriages. God is our perfect example. He is faithful to forgive.
Couples Discussion

- What should forgiveness and reconciliation look like?
- How can we apologize in a way that’s meaningful?
