What Does Jesus Say About Himself?  

• Jesus is claiming to be God.   

 John 10:30, Hebrews. 1:3, Colossians. 2:9, Philippians. 2:6-7   

• Jesus gives eternal life.  

John 10:28, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23, John 10:28-29 

• Jesus’ works are a witness to his deity.

Ice Breaker – What’s something you hear people say about Jesus?  

1. Read the passage. John 10:22–30.  
2. What does Jesus say about himself?  
3. What stood out to you from the message the most? Why?  
4. Jesus claims to be God. Take a few minutes to look up some of the cross references and discuss them.  (John 10:30, Hebrews. 1:3, Colossians. 2:9, Philippians. 2:6-7)   
5. Jesus said that he is the one that “gives eternal life.” Take a few minutes to look up some of the cross references and discuss what other parts of the scripture say about this. How does this impact your life? (John 10:28, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23, John 10:28-29)  
6. Jesus’ works are a witness to his deity. Take a minute to look up some of the scriptures and discuss them.  (John 10:25, John 3:2, John 9:32–33, Mark 2:7)  
7. For you personally, what’s one or two things that the LORD has impressed upon your heart, that you’ll take away?  
8. Jesus is God. He is life. If that’s true, what are you doing to help people know about him? People need to know about Jesus!  
9. Take some time to thank God in prayer for our salvation, as believers, and the church’s witness.
